A beautiful story
Fabienne is from the Rennes region, La Chapelle Boéxie, and she is a certified architect. Gilles is from Trégor, from the small village of Le Yaudet in Ploulec’h, and he is a company manager.
When their family grew in the late 1990s, it became evident to them that they wanted to raise their children in a natural and protected environment, by the sea. They hesitated between Le Yaudet Côte de Bruyères and Pleumeur-Bodou Côte de Granit Rose, as both locations on the two banks of the Léguer offered great advantages. Eventually, a wonderful opportunity to purchase a large plot of land in Pleumeur-Bodou in 1999, just 500 metres from the shore, convinced everyone.
The beautiful family wooden-frame architect-designed house was inaugurated in 2004. Life, already busy with five children and demanding professional activities, would have continued as it was if Fabienne had not met a specialist in solid wood houses, an environmentally friendly German speciality, through her professional encounters.
Solid wood emerged as an obvious choice for their construction principle.

The first construction: the Villa du Golf, 2008
A show home to showcase the qualities of solid wood and Fabienne’s expertise to her local clients, a furnished holiday rental to partially finance the investment—the rational foundations of the project were laid.
Il fallait un terrain coup de coeur, et un projet qui s’intègre au lieu selon les principes constructifs des maisons bioclimatiques et basse consommation – exposition sud, vitrages à faible émissivité, PAC, capteurs solaires pour l’eau chaude, isolation extérieure,..): un terrain, véritable écrin de verdure de 1800 m2 à 100 mètres de la voie romaine et 300 mètres du practice du Golf Saint Samson a retenu notre attention. Il est à 800 mètres de notre maison familiale, distance permettant un contact aisé avec nos hôtes.
The second construction: the Villa Piscine, 2010
In 2010, our large family plot became part of the municipality’s plan to develop green zones. To avoid losing their property, Fabienne submitted a planning application within 15 days for an unexpected project: the Villa Piscine. Legally separate but integrated into the family property at the landscape level, this second project fully showcased Fabienne’s expertise in creating wooden houses (wooden frame and solid wood for the Piscine).
The offering was well thought out: a compact house, 75 square metres, suitable for a single person, a couple, or a family of up to four, to fully enjoy the tranquility of the location. Additionally, a large 150-square-metre building with a green roof (for its acoustic qualities, insulation, and landscape integration) housed a gym, a sauna, and an 18-metre long indoor pool heated to 28°C year-round by a heat pump—the dream, just 500 metres from the seaside.
